I was on 290 the other day............saw a billboard by Peterson Oil advertising the Red Carpet treatemnt for T F Greene customers...I think it mentioned Providence.............maybe thsi bill board has been there awhile and I am just not too observant????
Can you imagine a Cleveland Indians Billboard on Yawkey Way?? Next thing ya know there will be an identical billboard coming down Pleasant St from Paxton. Gotta hand to TF greene though! Once the 146 Connector project is complete, I'll betcha we'll see even more of these advertisements in our area. I figure this raodway has knocked 6-7 minutes off the trip to Greene. Build a new interchange at Boston Rd in Sutton and in North Smithfield RI and who will even need ORH??
I'd say we should place similar billbaords in Prov area........but what will we advertise??
On my return trip I noticed the opposite side of the billboard was an ad for UMass Life Flight .......which begs the question why the hell do we have to waste state tax dollars advertising a monoply service & beside all the emergency service providers in the area already know who/where to call when a MEd flight is needed..................
but i thougt to myself what a coincidence........these 2 ads being placed opposite each other.........does the Life flight ad have any symbolism for ORH........e.g. is ORH on life support??........are we in neeed of airborne emergency servises??.............are we alraedy basically dead?....etc
