PSA

Public Service Announcement (PSA). Am I the only one to be solicited for the money merge system??? It is the latest pyramid selling scheme that only cost a couple thousand (2,000 to 3,000) for a software system that shows you how taking out a home equity line to pay all your bills pays off your mortgage early??

Trust me if you have not heard about it yet, you will. You have been warned.

You have to be in their sucker-list.

Back in the early 1980's, I got sucked into a pyramid scheme called 'Rainbow's End' by my boss.

Needless to say, I never recovered my 'investment', but I ended up getting every piece of sucker-list mail sent for the next 15 years.

I'll be at the next local Quixtar(sp?)...f.k.a. Amway convention...incognito.....trollingfor suckers who think being in business for yourself is a cake walk.......my starter kit for AIR JAHN is only $199.95 and I do take MC, Visa, & Amex.

And if they dont like that....I'll get them in my downline for either Mela, Acai, Jerky, or Noni.

MLM = Money Losing Methods, except for the above mentioned business opportunities.

BTW, you have plenty of comapny as most all Worc Property tax payers could be deemed fools, given the inefficiencies & ineffectiveness in our municipal operations. 4800 city employees and 600 (or 13%) are supposedly out on Injured on Duty status ...........please tell this isnt true.

What''s going on at Park & May St.......site of that steakhouse/bar that was in the retro-fitted 3 decker............looks like that building & the adjacent cement block building are about to be razed.... i.e. all fenced in

Seems to have all the markings of a CVS future site??? Walgreens is already at Park & Chanlder (or is that CVS?...I cant keep them straight).

If a NEW CVS drug store opens and a nearby local drugstore(s) close up........does that count as another lost business or is that a wash.

You know I would never publicize it (out of fairness to the current owners), but I can think of quite few locally owned, long established businesses that I drive by regularly, that I think are also on a death watch.

Or am I out of the loop and this CVS is old news?

Bill,

Do you know what is going in (if anything) at the fenced in parcel at the corner of Main Street & Hammond Street?

Nursing home outfit out of the mid-west was leasing the place long-term. Recently it had been empty and they did not see themselves getting any patients.

In the meantime the city started cracking down on them to clean the place up, etc. They decided it was cheaper to knock the building down and to pay the taxes on an empty lot the remaining years of their lease.
