President Obama and first lady Michelle Obama at 11 a.m. EST this morning will lead a moment of silence to honor the victims of the shooting spree in Tucson, Arizona, Saturday as Congressional business pauses after the tragedy that killed six people and injured 14, including Rep. Gabrielle Giffords.

Just Because a congressional member is targeted in an AZ. shooting tragedy that ends up killing others.....we need a national moment of silence?
Did Bill Clinton declare a national moment of silence when 8 or 10 workers in an office park up in Wakefield got gunned down sometime around the turn of the centuury? NOt that I can re call, but let 8 or 10 cops get gunned down and all of a sudden there are not enough pews to accomodate all all the political attention whores
I know my position on this may not go over well with many folks, but why is that when those in public employment (service as it's called) experieice tragedy there is so much media outpouring and political posturing?
And where is Obama's moment of silence for the cop in AZ(Immigration agent?) who was killed allegedly by an illegal alien a few weeks ago? He wont touch that one now will he??....theatrical narcissitist that he is.
