Pease Now Portsmouth

This whole name thing is out of control... Personally I think the name change can not hurt ORH. At the same time it can not disguise that we have one carrier flying four times per week and our current operating deficit is $2,000,000 per year.

Story from Portsmouth Union Leader.

The Pease Development Authority voted 5-1 yesterday to rename its airport.
Pease International Airport would become Portsmouth International Airport at the Pease International Tradeport.

The change may, however, require approval from the Federal Aviation Administration, which has pumped more than $60 million into improvements since 1992.

Please note that the Portsmouth Union Leader storys says that the name change may need FAA approval??

Could that be due to the amount of money the FAA has granted to the airport (Pease)?
