During the first 9 months of fiscal 2006, a total of 902,264 between "salaries and fringe" has been spent. In other words approximately $100,000 per month on salaries and fringe. Last I remember we had 10 employees, maybe 11, at the airport (I could be wrong) so that means we spend $10,000 per month per employee between "salaries and fringe"? Are they hiring??
All kiddin aside how can you run a business when the "salaries and fringe" alone are 902,264, never mind other expenses (like debt service), which is approximately 50% more then corresponding revenues during the same period (639,937). In the private sector, you would be out of business fast!!!!
Maybe we did not pay close enough attention to this when MassPort was payingt the tab, but we are going to pick up 32% of the operating deficit (not including debt service) in two months followed by the whole bill in 14 months. We need to get a better grasp of "salaries and fringe" at ORH now.

It’s been nearly a year since I wrote about the problems that come from
having 11 bosses who are not on the same page about anything, as well as

Forget the salaries and fringes, just look at the ordinary maintenace amount.
Nine months revenue of 640K and 720K goes to just ordinary maintanence. Before any other expenses they are 80K in the red for nine months or about 105K annualized. I think Mr O'Brien has to bring in some private sector business policies, strategies, and initiatives here.
What is it that is costing this kind of money and what happens when some EXTRAordinary maintanence occurs?
I have to wonder, are any salaries possibly listed (hidden) in the ordinary maintenance category?
Mr Moylan is now in the cabinet position called Capital Asset Manager or something similar. Does he manage or oversee ORH as part of this newly created position?
I did not even think of that--ordinary maintenance is more then revenues even before any other expenses like salaries, "fringe" and debt service. I will ask around to see if we can get a break-down on "salaries and fringe", but I do not think it is part of maintenance?? We will find out,
