Airport Name Change

Yesterday I posted Rockford's name, NorthWest Chicagoland International Airport at Chicago--WOW... Actually this was corrected--- the revised name is Chicago/Rockford International Airport. The you consider Worcester-MetroWest-Boston Airport. Has this been voted on by the City Council yet? maybe we should change to JetBlue Airport, if some shuttles were moved to ORH.

By the way, has anyone been up Airport Drive from Pleasant Street lately. Last week the road was closed at least one day and it was down again today..

i went by airport drive...it says there is construction on ORH's website.

i dont think changing the name to JetBlue Airport is a good idea for a couple reasons...

1. what other airlines would be proud to say "we fly out of JetBlue Airport" if you just wanted jetblue and thats it...thats ok...but who else (especially rivals like allegiant) and its other low fare competitors think about that... would they really want to say they fly out of an airport named after their competitors?

2. just because we have 2 flights per day to a city 20 minutes away on a plane?? no way man..we have to have some destinations added to that...not just JFK

JetBlue airport? First I've heard of it.

I mention the name "JetBlue" Airport as something to maybe attract an airline.. If this is what we had to do to attract JetBlue, I would gladly name the airport "JetBlue" for a stipulated period of time.

John, the 2 flights per day to JFK is just the first step. If JetBlue saw alot of people traveling to another destination through JFK, they would add a direct route.

You need to walk before you can run.
