Ted Williams Tunnel

Lately I have been getting some e-mails from various readers of the blog, which make me feel good about running this. We really have a good following here and I honestly believe that we are helping to make ORH an asset. Particularly proud of a phone call from Tom Moore last night and a comment yesterday by Jahn.

Nobody is trying to lessen the tragedy of the accident in the Ted Williams Tunnel, but the reality of the situation is that the traffic is going to be awful without this second tunnel. Both Tom and Jahn pointed out that this may be a perfect opportunity for ORH (which I completely over-looked)!!!

Why not call JetBlue today and try to have them divert 2 of the 10 BOS-JFK Embraer 190 flights to ORH??? We can stress to JetBlue that with the increased traffic problems to Logan, JetBlue would be catering to their customers by offering this option!!!

Keep up the good work.

Hey, I was watching/listening to the Jordan Levy show tonight on Ch. 3 and there was no mention of diverting Jet Blue flights from LOG to ORH. Why is that? Where is the outrage? Doesn't this idea have merit? Tell me if I'm wrong, but how about getting Levy on board with this? He's a mover and a shaker...

It's a great idea for the city to go after. Maybe we should call his show and see what he thinks?

...and/or call Massport out publicly as they manage both Logan and ORH and haven't offered this up as an option yet !!!

Lets think of this under another scenario. What if MassPort owned ORH?

Bet you $100 bucks that they would have diverted some flights to ORH!!
