it seems like there is no effort beeing made to help this airport. the name hasnt changed yet, although we were as close as signing in the summer. there were supposed to be numerous announcements about the airport after the departure of allegiant. also, the website should be one of the biggest priorities, but it still is not even changed since allegiant left.
Over the next 275 days, we need to take the results from three consultants (Leigh Fisher Master Plan, Louis Berger New England Regional Air Study Plan and the IMG recruitment efforts?) and decide on a path for ORH. How are we doing to do that?? Do we hire a 4th consultant?
Not to mention we also have a name change, amjor announcements. RFP's, the negotiation of the current operating agreement and the rehauling of the airport website. What makes you think that we can not get all of this done over the next 275 days based on the past results of the current airport mgmt?
i think we could get it done. In fact, i know we can get it done. i just havent heard much of the airport at all. all of the things they said were coming havent come yet. the announcements they said were coming never happened. this is making me wonder how much of a commitment the city has to ORH. All the things they had to do, improve there website and change the name, sound pretty simple. i of course dont know much about running an airport so i could be way off with my opinions, so forgive me if im wrong.
Name change was forwarded to City Hall, major announcements commment was City Hall Administrators, new Operating Agreement is City Hall and Massport Execs. I think the web site is ok. Could use improvements, but so could most. It is government!
