I have been saying for months (patting myself on the back) that St Pete's would be the 2nd city in Florida for Allegiant. Today looking at the YNG blog, the following link was mentioned:
http://www.allegiantair.com/jobs/job_fair.htm
Not only has Allegiant not pulled out of any other cities, but have added I think added 6 orgiination cities and one new detination (Tampa/St Pete's). Wonder if we called Alegiant back and offered whatever remained in he DOT Small Community Air Servie Grant, approximately 300,000, would they come back???
Lets hope Festival Airlines considers ORH??

I think it is still possible for Festival to consider Worcester. If you take a look at the new RFD route map (very impressive I might add) it shows nothing to the East coast.
Festival can run several flights per week from ORH to vacation destinations (besides Florida) and probably have pretty good success, ala Allegiant 80% load factors. If ORH mangement would consider waiving their landing fees, perhaps we could land another carrier. Festival will be eager to expand into untapped territory, and Worcester represents such an opportunity!

I agreed. We have burned all bridges to Allegiant.
Lets hope anonymous is correct. We could really use Festival.

Umm Like I said on my blog.. At 3:00 PM on Wednesday at PIE; Allegiant Air will announce Service outta PIE and its 8 cities it will initially fly to.
RFD-TOL-ABE-SWF seem to be locks, the other 4 are out there, but I assume Lansing will be on there.
The way your press ripped on Allegiant for leaving, you can bet they won't ever comeback.
I understand, but the article in the Rockford paper says a new airline, not an existing one. Perhaps this was a typo, but I think that lends itself to either a Festival type or some wild card.

My thoughts too. Appeared to be a typo on the Register Star's part.
Will be a big surprise if there is something else.
Festival was said to be announcing it this week.
