Airline Negotiations
We never ever hear any mention of them during any of the Airport Board Meeting Minutes until this past month when the City Manager attended the meeting. I wonder if this was because Mr Nemeth mentioned negotiations with a Ohio Start-up in his column and maybe the Airport Commissioners wanted to know what was going on?

I think it's funny they're discussing negotiating with a new flight school, as they drive the existing one off the field to Stow.
Will the last tenant out please turn off the lights.

Hopefully things don't appear to be too drastic.
Checked the commission meeting minutes for last several months.
Looks like the existing flight school Amity is leasing space at Euro-American Air Freight so it doesn't look like they're being driven off the field.
Also the airport website lists other businesses on the filed as Mass Aviation Services, Radio Shop, and Swissport. Hardly a ghost town although I'm sure the would like to see more business up there during the harsh economic times.
It's true that Amity is presently leasing space from Euro-American, however there is a severe access problem.
You can see the plane you'll be flying from the office, but the only access to the field is through Swissport. You get to walk over a mile to get round the fence.
Amity will be much better off after they move to Minuteman in Stow.
Contrary to the pols statements, ORH is not friendly towards general aviation.
Bill, why don't you contact the owner os Amity for a blog interview about ORH? It would be enlightening.
