Since we are already looking for a $6,000 statue that was left out all night unprotected at Elm Park, can we also look for any comments on the $400,000 20 Year Master Plan that took 3 years to plan that was suppose to be the final piece of the puzzle that would perfectly compliment the $100,000 IMG Strategic Plan and the New England Regional Air Study plan (cost unknown).
Seriously can anyone leave a comment if they heard anyone say anything about this Master Plan?

The heck with a $6,000 statue or a $400,000 master plan...............I am looking for my $6.00 property tax rebate when some rogue cops will have to pay back $80-100k they allegedly stole form the city.
Checked the airport website and the June minutes stated the report was just released from the city in June so it's still probably being reviewed.
Hope they don't lose another business. Looks like pilot school traffic slow.

Shouldnt the city auditor be doing this audit/review work and not the police dept 'eees? After all the auditor works for the city council and the police dept probably knows squat about auditing.
The timing of this story and yesterdays story about $4,000 fee for public recordsd has me scratching my head and wondering.

Sorry Bill, but stories like this sell newspapers......airport master plans dont....its mid summer and doldrums have struck.....plus if you were on the airport commission and basically flubbed it.............would you want to put your incompetence/cluelessness in the newspaper for all the public to view..............possible police scams/frauds sell papers...................airplanes that never arrive dont.
BTW if these allegations are true......then that should free up 100K annually to hire people to provide public records for free........seeing as how Gemme claims lack of resources causes the $4,000 public records access fee. If he was smart he would have said:
"we dont do things for free any more than the T&G sells papers for free"
Do you know how many times I heard wait to the Master Plan?? Now it comes out and nothing.
My point is that we need to stop hiring consultants and waits for reports. How about working?
I have known of a number of incidents of employee stealing.
I am not talking about a broom or a shovel or the bar-keep who skims $20 every night......i am talking about stealing large amts of cold hard cash....and w/o exception every employee was terminated immediately.........OK so innocent until proven guilty......right.......if these allegations are true....should the individuals involved be terminated......and civilly charged and made to pay it back......after which most of these types go belly up
What would you folks do if they were your employees and stole from you.
God, Babs haller in T&G this morning almsot sounds sympathetic towards these allegations....and is more worried about her Main South than about the taxpayers pocketbooks
Also keep in mind the 80 to 100k is over only a 6 moth period.
If guilty as charged & this is broomed........I'll go right through the roof......b/c I got suspicions the phine lines to teh councillors are ringing off the wall............trying to de-rail this issue..............I think O'Brien will do what any private sector CEO would do in this circumstance........stay tuned
