So am I to assume from the no comments yet on this topic that it is not as big a deal as some of us silly bloggers make it out to be?

If I am town that is far under the mandated minimum, you can bet I might be double counting and other wise stretching the rules to bolster their numbers. Call it "The Acorning" of affordable housing counts. E.g counting dog houses, horse stables, and storage sheds as affordable (subsidized) units.

Dirty littel truth is that many suburban locales have affordable housing that are nice 1500 sq ft stand alone, single family houses that are just on small 5000, 6000, & 7000 sq. ft lots, just like many of Worc's nice (non affordable) housing.

Typically a young teacher or a rookie cop or fireman will buy the house when they allegedly have only one paycheck coming in and they meet the affordablity guidelines. Once the kiddies attain day care/school.
age .......viola Mom goes to work. Now compare that "Low income" situation to what exists in Worc for low income housing.........people who are basically lifetime wards of the state........like people who are in subsidized units, yet can afford to go out and buy $200 worht of newspapers on Nov 12th, 2008, so they can memorialize the election of certain pinko commie president or the likes of 224 Chandler situation.

I have witnessed this in certain town(s)in the Rte 495/93 vicinity. The builder will already have certain "favored local players" in mind to buy the so called No lo units long before the permits are even pulled.

And No i am not radically opposed to low income housing. I never get upset about structures, I do get upset at people's behavior, which people tend to locate in certain types of housing.
