My take has always been that Hartford has more socio-economic problems than Worcester does......although they seem to have a more vibrant city economy b/c they have the insurance industry and they're a state capitol and they are served by 2 two digit INTER-states and not 1 one digit INTRA-state.........But I will admit my familiarity w/Hartford is defintitely limited
Good one on WEEI (or WVEI in Worcester) Whiner Line yesterday; caller stated "...now I'm not saying Roger Clemens is dumb, but rumor has it he called both Hannah Montana AND Miley Cyrus for a threesome..."
I put Carol safely on the plane yesterday at the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport..I'm hanging out in "The Big Easy" by myself for a few extra days...something very telling about the above airport and Gulfport that I flew into and will fly out of tomorrow..nice easy access in and out..Worcester will never deal with this issue...so why bother with it?? The more one travels elsewhere the more one realizes how much Worcester has it's head up it's ass..sorry rah rahers
Off to the Lower 9th Ward this afternooon to have a cigar with Fats Domino
Rumor has it that you will be bringing me back a muffaletta from either Central Grocery and/or Serio's Deli. A 6 pack of Dixie Blackened Voodoo beer would help wash those sandwiches down nicely...
I thought about it Harry and then I ate it..got mine on Magazine Street in the Garden District..drank the beer also:>)
I drank a wee bit of the Arbita the past 7 days..not great, not bad...made it to Emeril's new joint NOLA's in the French Quarter..very good..also to K-Pauls in the French Quarter which is also very good.have to read my blog for more:>)
As for voudou (the correct spelling)..I am reading
"A New Orleans Voudou Priestess: The Legend and Reality of Marie Laveau"
NOLA & K-Paul's ...been there, done that... have partied in New Orleans for Mardi Gras & Halloween. Brennan's , Acme Oyster, Cafe Du Monde, etc have all been on my hitlist. Check out Jean L'efit's Blacksmith shoppe for a cool bar. Much cooler than Pat O' Brien's. In any event since you consumed my muffaletta(s) and drank my beer, I will settle for a Big John Club from John & Son's 2 next to the Paulie compound and a 6 pack of Wachusett...
I tried to get into Snug Harbor Wed night to see Marcia Ball but both shows were sold out..plan to see Dr. John and the Neville Brothers together in New York this coming up June..no breakfast at Brennans but we did spend two hours in the french Market at Cafe du Monde drinking Chicory coffee and enjoying the beignets..great outdoor area to listen to music, eat and watch people (think WormTown could use a French Market, Harry???)
I bought a painting from one of the artists in Jackson Square..one from "on the fence"..thats what they call the art sold from the fence around Jackson Square
no strppahs Harry...BTW..you have to have lived in Boston a minimum of 10 years before you can talk like us..I bet when you are in Nawlin's..you say.."I'd like to buy Ya'll an Arbita"

How about having it at the airport. Pilot's could give airplane rides and promote aviation to young and old.
Great publicity for all involved
No thanks.We don't sponsor Al-coPaulics.
