Allegiant Travel Co., which operates an airline marketed to leisure travelers in small cities, said Friday its total traffic in September jumped 24 percent as the airline grew new routes. Allegiant flew passengers 362.7 million miles last month, compared with 292.2 million miles the same month a year earlier.

Dare I say it...they would make a GREAT fit for ORH.
If you're trying to promote Worcester Airport, rather than be negative, why not announce that the air carrier that is presently serving Worcester is having a promotion on ticket sales, rather than reporting on the financial health of one of the airlines that abandoned ORH?
Speaking of Worcester Airport, I was watching NECN last night and Direct Air is now running TV commercials about their Florida service from Worcester Regional Airport.
I would have to agree Steve..are we supposed to just act like nothing happened when a top quality airline/business left..shouldn't we be asking why so it doesa not happen again?
It never came out why they left..the peeps we rely on told us they were doing fine and that it was not Worcester...this kind of thinking in that Woo can do no wrong and it is everyone elses fault for failing is a bunch of hogwash..one learns from mistakes if they are to prosper....I am greatful that Direct Air is here but I travel alot and I would have loved even more for Allegient to have stayed and expanded here NOT elsewhere like they are doing.

I am not a cheerleader for ORH. Allegiant was and is a great airline and we shold never have lost them.
Do you want me to lie?
