And I just read in todays T&G (10-27) that:

"The Honorable Joseph O'Brien" Mayor of Worcester will present the

"Cement Mixer Gala" at the

Marriott, Marlboro,

Saturday Oct 30th at 600pm,

$75.00 per head

Folks, this is not a Halloween spoof. This is in the T&G so it has to be true :)

What you may ask is the Cement Mixer Gala. (Note, if they knew what they were talking about, it w/b called the Concrete mixer gala) Well I will tell you that it has nothing to do with Cousin Jethro's Ceeeement Pond out in Hollywood. In fact it's a fund raiser for Habitat for Humanity. Y'all s'pose Jimmy (16% Mortgages) Carter will be in attendance?

Evidently Mayor Joe is not aware of the damage that a loaded concrete (cement?) mixer does to the environment as it hauls a 35 ton load, spewing forth exhaust pollutants, to a construction site where Mother Earth has just been ripped open to dig a new cellar hole.

Then there is the strip mining process necessary to extract the concrete materials from the earth. I tell you, environmentalist Joe is on the wrong side of this issue !!!!

Folks as some would say, I cant make this stuff up

Check the bottom of Page A-6, I think it was.

Worc. has the Business Expo and on the same weekend Barack O'Brien is not only out of town, but he's out of town on a what could be deemed a low income, anti business housing mission. Here's to hoping he can at least stop by the Worc Bizz Expo this weekend.

In the past, the only Airlines to set up at the Business Expo had service at Worcester Regional Airport.

As I pointed out to Bill in my email, could American Airlines be in our airport's future?

Thanks david . Mea culpa I thought it was a weekend long event. Guess there aint enough business in Worc to justify a 2 day event. I need to get to downtown more often.

David, Joe will be there tomorrow? That's great. I Will up be out in Marlboro Saturday as I might be out that way for breakfast at Bumpy's (Buy Local :) ) God I have not been to Pickle barrel in ages. Gotts top in and see Gus
