Cig Tax

You know that last buck a pack tax that was suppose to raise all sorts of monies to pay for the new Commonwealth of Mass Health Program. Officially collections have gone down 3% as sales in the Commonwealth are down 20%.

April 1st, there is a new Federal tax going on cigs that will jack up the cost of cigs by about another 80-90 cents a pack. Will they ever learn?

Since Amsterdam is closing up all the hash houses, I say Massachusetts picks up the slack !

Harry..... and the Amsterdam cat houses........maybe we can move them to Mass or to Worc, too.......that should stimulate the local economy and we can charge a tax on them, too.

Hell.... Spitzer could drive to Mass from NY rather than fly to DC to obtain his weekly $5,000 services.

And the Dutch girls could sun themselves at our new Spray park on the Common

Did anyone read Clive's jive today. He's belly-aching that some are complaining the school dept's budget has been increasing exponentiallyy oner the years b/c now school nurses, the vocational school, health ins. for school personnel, & pensions for school personnel are now charged to the school dept budget and they werernt charged there in the past.

If I am undertading his piece correctly, then just where exactly should the above budget items have been charged to both retroactively, currently, & prospectively.... to trash removal, snowplowing, the airport, etc?

I mean what is Clives health ins. charged to at the T&G? Ink expense, delivery services, or editorial payroll.
