Why couldn't we get an airline like this.
Same Time Next Year

It’s been nearly a year since I wrote about the problems that come from

I need updates:
WPD Pay-gate
WPD Redaction-gate
UNUM
TOWERHILL-gate...A.K.A. as TRANSPARENCY-gate.
We may not have an airline like that but things are heating up in the City on the business front.
An expanding Fiberoptics firm is relocating to Worcester from the burbs. Here is the link to the story from today's WBJ Noon Business Update - http://www.wbjournal.com/news42803.html
Il-Forno is coming downtown to the former Firehouse Cafe on Commercial Street.
And I was in Paulie's Hood this morning and noticed a new tire business already opened in the former long time Tire retailer (of course the name escapes me now).
And don't fret Jahn, UNUM at City Square WILL be announced soon.
Unfortunately, we're losing a business, too. This just in from the T&G Noon Business Update:
Steinert closing Worcester store
WORCESTER - Piano retailer M. Steinert & Sons has announced that it is closing its Worcester store. The company's showrooms in Natick and Boston will remain open. A liquidation sale in the Worcester store, at 1 Gold Star Blvd., will take place beginning today. The Worcester store has been in business 136 years.
And to illustrate how far our daily newspaper has fallen, I just read about Steinert's closing their Worcester location in today's print edition of the Boston Herald.
Pretty sad that our daily newspaper is scooped by a Boston daily that at one time didn't even know life existed outside of Route 128.
Takis--Harry T's uncle opened the new tire store
Pay no attention to Dewey, the twenty years of steroid usage is starting to kick in
Was browsing the Worcester Magazine Feb 17 entry and read an article about Direct Air charging re-booking fee (which were waived)
Thought this might be important for bloggers looking to book flights with any airline: They suggested purchasing trip insurance (about $15) which covers re-booking fees. check it out @ www.insuremytrip.com or call (800)487-4722

tHERE'S ONLY ONE THING THATS GOING TO RIGHT Worc's financial ship and that is reducing labor rates. Please note reducing labor rates is not the same as reducing the number of employees. This includes hourly/daily wage reductions, benefits expense reduction, & pension expense reduction.
Does anyone serioulsy think that a city council that is bought & sold by city labor interests will reduce per employee expenses. No way Jose'
Worc 2012 = receivership. Maybe they'll make Romney the receiver. Our city finances are just not sustainable.
And our elected leaders need to hold a big outta town pow wow to figure this out??? What a GD joke.............get outta Dodge to solve Dodges problems????........not quite.
Also time for Rushton to stop whining and if he cant we'll get him a rubber nipple to stuff in his pie hole. Guy is too much !!!!!!! Dittos for Mr Not Germane.
