Who is guarateeing this $1M loan....HUD or Worcester? HUD lends the money and Worc Gaurantees it?
If HUD guarnateees it, why does the city council have to be involved? I thought Massport will soon own the aiport. Again why is the city even involved? Maybe thsi isnt really a sale but a long term lease and Worc will retain ownership?????
HUD (Housing & Urban Dev'ment) makes non residential loans? Aircraft manufactuirng bizz = URBAN dev'ment I guess? Ditto's for Pharmasphere?
What difference does it make if Worc gaurantees 40 Home Fund loans at $25,000 each (that's $1M total) or one loan at $1M? IMO, Worc should not be in loan gaurantee bizz at all....be it Home Funds, Hand It Over Theatre funds, reataurant tenant fit up funds, or manufactuing company funds.
Frankly, if am a gaurantor I'd be more comforatble guaranteeing 40Home Funds loans for $25k each than a $1M loan to a manufacturing company b/c with 40 Home Funds loans the risk is spread around more favorably.
Why doesnt our state house delegation (Binienda et al) just start new scratch tix to fund airports. Did anyone else besides me see that moronic idea in T&G today to fund municipal snow removal with lotto tix? Shouldnt we have pothole tickets to repair city streets b4 we worry about plowing them? Query: are chucks of asphalt on a city street a municipal nuisance?

Just a spoof Dave. You know me by now :)
So we just got out of the airport business, now we're getting into the airplane business? Makes perfect sense.
