Hope the rumor mill about dropping Sanford is wrong. I would think that would be a popular destination from Central Massachusetts with those traveling to Disney World.
I flew Worcester to Myrtle Beach last week. The flights were a little late each way, But only 30 and 60 minutes.
They've got a bar opened in ORH now. It was doing a brisk business. It's inside security, so I suspect it's only open when a flight is departing. Still, it's better than only drinking lousy coffee.
All in all, I was pretty happy with DirectAir. One thing I found interesting was when we checked in, we had to sign a statement agreeing to all of the terms and conditions. I had already read them, and was a little surprised to see that they can take off up to 48 hours late with compensation due to the passenger.
MassPort did mention that they were going to pursue more Corporate flights and additional leisure "boutique" airlines for Worcester. Can only hope that Allegiant comes back to ORH.
