The few rare ocassions I stop at DD I thought I noticed my Meduim coffee is now 14 oz??? werent they 16oz before.

I like to hit McD's for a coffee while traveling. $1.00 for any size and i THINK THAT'S ..........12 oz to 20 oz.???....aND IT 'S FINE COFFEE, TOO. Plus McD's has nice seats to sit in, unlike DD who could really care less about providing good seating....but I cant recall what brand McD's coffee it is?? Is it that Vermont coffee?

PLus at DD a dognut is $1.00.............thats Too much IMO...on the other hand food prices are rising of late. The 2.49 gallon of milk of a few weeks ago is now 2.69.

Is there a new DD going at Plantation and Lincoln St on the site of what used to be Jamesbury/Metco?

Also from what i can see (or cant see?) the construction of that new Hampton Inn Hotel at 290 and W Main St in Shoesberry has been at a stand still since last Oct. SOmething aint right there?

Tried it and wanted to like it. Hate to say but Starbucks oatmeat has become my regular thing with numerous fruit and nut mix ins you add for preferred ratio. Better quality oatmeal overall without price consideration ($2.35)

BTW - Bill passed you yesterday, but older reflexes didn't wave in time.

So speaking about the End of America (prior thread) and Breakfast (this thread), well here's something you can mull over with tomorrows Easter Sundae brunch.

Nick K's column today (4-23) says that Coupe Deval is calling together Worc's Planning Board, ZBA, and Consv. Commission Commission about a regional "compact" that is in being formed........
the so called Central Mass. Regional Planning Commission (the comm.)

The comm. "is supposed to serve as a shared framework for long term public decision making on dev'ment, preservation and infrastructure"

I say INTERESTING...or as Sgt. Schultz used to say before he was bribed with LeBeuas Apple Strudel.....VERY interesting.

The comm. covers from Westford, east to Natick, south to Foxboro and west to Worcester.

One of the principal planners calls it "very diverse region of communities"

I am telling you folks, my radar antennas are up on this one. Every community in this area is probably under the 40b low income housing threshold and all have an objective to keep it that way...so dare I ask what all or most these toney suburban enclaves have in common with Worcester? IMNOSHO, not much.

Why do we need yet another commision to study planning & growth?

Watch for the "regionalization" of the 40b laws, resulting in Worcester with even more low income housing b/c I am predicting the threhsold will be raised for 10% per community to 10% per region

Watch for the commercial growth to be along the Mass Pike, Rte 9, and Rte 495 and watch for the low income housing growth in the likes of Worcester or Clinton.

Although Leicester isn't mentioned... Worcester is ....so....keep an eye out for the words "Infrastructure growth" and "Worcester/Worcester Airport in the same paargraph

Lastly may I have the unmitigated gall to ask where Deval and his minions get off with being planners? Can you say Ever(Never/No)Green Solar? Can you say Fidelity Marlboro?

This is Another excuse for Deval to leave Boston on Thursday during the summer under the giuse of a metrowest meet up for this planning commission. Then it's an EZ slide out the the $1.3M manse in Lenox at 400 pm on Thursday for another traditional summer weekend.

Do me a favor please Deval, leave your ideas, which are only more bovine fecal, and leave Tobby and his canine fecal matter outta Worcester. Thanx
