Avports

About six months I contacted Avports, an airport management company, to see if they would be interested in leasing ORH long-term. They asked me for a bunch of financial information which I passed on to the airport, who said they would take care of. The other day I sent Avports an e-mail to see how it was going. Here is their response, read from the bottom up.

Bill

Spoke with a rep from the airport who appeared reluctant to collect and make available to us the materials and data we had requested. He indicated that everything we were looking to review would be contained in the master plan update. He asked me to refer to their web site to gain access to the master plan files which were recently posted in final draft. We are looking at the numbers now. Will let you how we'd like to proceed.John

Sounds a little different than the reply you got last May from the airport liaison:

Today (Monday Sept 29) Clive is right on the money re: the alleged payroll scandal/fraud at the police dept.

The public needs to know or at least have an update and council seems to be as quiet as a bunch of church mice re this alleged theft.

I have never been too big on police internal affairs investigating alleged police misconduct...which police misconduct usually (but not always) takes the form of the bad guys complaining about being roughed up by the cops...But I guess I can live with it.....I actually do have some sympathy for the boys in blue often having to deal with the underbelly of society.........but this paygate issue shold not be an internal affairs investigation...competent professionals from outside the city s/b investigating this.....not the police IA, nor the city auditor.

O'B should terminate any one found guilty of of submitting 3 or more fraudulaent time sheets. I'll give em 2 strikes for free if they agree to re-imburse the city with interest, too. 3 strikes and you're gone! A private employer would fire them on the spot for even one offense.

ALso WTH is DA Early on this issue. His silence speask volumes. People are fed up with the public treasury being looted....w/o re: to if it's Masspike toll takers, a court clerk knocking over the photo-copy machine every day, employees abusing sick leave, disabled Boston firefighters winning weight lifting contests and all the other baloney that seems to grace the newpapers pages almsot on a daily basis.

Also what's up with this Worc Comm Cabe Access issue. Another group basiaclly on the public dole that thinks they are above accountablity.......WTH!!!!!! Why does my cable bill have to include a charge for these apparent freeloaders at WCAA? If Koffee With Konnie is so important, then let the free market decide if the listening audience wants to hear it. Likewise for what is basically an Amer Idol or Community Auditions presentation that occurs on WCCA on the taxpayers dime. What else is on this WCAA that is so important. The WTAG morning drive guy really has a hair across his +++ on this WCAA and I cant blame him. His public communications job is ssubject to market forces and if cant keep and hold an audinece then is booted.........but these WCCA prima dons feel they are above teh fray........and WCCA bigwig also his wife on the payroll too.......interesting........

Was Dewey asking for me? He & I had something in common, too. Right field seemed to be where I often ended up, too. I would gladly give autograpsh tho !!!

SO now my childhood memories have caused me to grow into the adult that i am.....still trying to catch the elusive fly ball.....whilst living in the basement......LOL

Are Paulie & Dewey buds?

2009's Pualie NOLA fest s/b held at............Foley Stadium??.........or maybe thats too far removed from the hood?.......Maybe one of Arties parking lots? Does MLK Center have large lot? MAybe Worc Common Grounds can pony up soem dinero & or a faclity?........Maybe their empty lot on Masson St.........s/b still be empty a yr from now??????.......Mr Teasdale and Mr Patton s/b sent RSVP's for 2009

Harry by Thursday they will pass a bill that was very similar to the one that failed yesterday ( Monday)......IMO of course

Ok.........guess I misunderstood, that wasnt Dewey, it was a look alike. Have no idea what Dewey even looks like nowadays.....maybe David Z played rt. field in L.L.??

Talk about moving to Holden & Northb.............did anyone read sundays paper.......i think it was in Nicks column.........Councillor Rushton (and I forgot the issue being discusesed) said that something (the issue being written about) would cause the middle class to leave Worc in droves.

Evidently Mr Rushton hasnt had his ear to the ground in Worc lately.....nor has he ventured south of The Hand It Over Theartre.......the middle class is leaving............maybe not in droves......but one househld at a time.......kinda like the beetle slowly, very, very slowly chomping away at what makes the city livable and desirable. Bill, I know you'r friendly with Mr Rushton........you need to take him to lunch and straighten him out........maybe you and he & Paulie at Suneys some Friday??
The guy is out of touch !

Gee I was on the S Shore recently as I sometimes travel to the area.........God it's like heaven driving through Hingham or Scituate, etc.......nicely kept homes..........no multi-family housing, no pajama peeps, no beggars, no PIP shelter, no 1/2 way houses....etc......what can I say.......
