Direct Air Website

Keep finding more things that concern me:
  • under about us, it says JetBlue--they forgot to change it
  • currently they are only flying to Myrtle Beach from 4 locations (Pittsburgh, Newark, Plattsburgh and Columbus).
  • currently not flying any planes to Florida
  • Worcester still spelled Worchester
  • flight map not updated
  • special offers--Florida not even mentioned as a destination
  • News releases, nothing about Worcester

I still for the life of me cant understand why Jet blue or Virgin or whoever would buy planes that they evidently cant use (or dont need) and then lease them to a 3rd party comm. carrier....but there must be genuine business reasons why???

As I said before maybe if the charter carrier is non union and the mother company is union they (charter) can operate less expensively and tap into markets they would not othewrwise be able to.

WTAG had a poll i just heard and only 20% of those polled think Direct Air will be here a year from now and 2% think there will another carrier in a year Plus direct air still here and the other 78% think Direct will be gone in a year.........Worcester Optimism???....Did I hear correctly?

Maybe they s/b Called Direct Leasing or Tenant Airways....but hopefully not the tenant from hell....but hey we do have to give them a chance and out support.i may even fly to Daytona this winter..........2nd time on a plane in 26 yrs for thsi wordly traveler....see I love Worc so much I hardly ever leave............

I travel a fare:>) amount and with TF & Boston so close and having such an easy time in and ou of TF his summah when Carol and I went to Philly..this is really not a huge thing for me..no access road and a west side that will only allow so many planes flying ovah their heads before they complain that I would rather just see the city sell the land and put something in their that will actually generate some dough for the city..TF is just to damn convenient via Rt 146 and I love flying in and out of Boston

Bill,

It seems like you're being a little harsh on your third choice for 'targeted airlines'.

Unless they have a full time IT staff, I suspect it will take time for Direct Air to add everything to their website. The phone number is listed, so if you're looking for something, you can always call.

I noticed that your website has an old copyright date. Sometimes websites aren't a business's first priority.

I am hoping that this "direct air" is just a shell for Virgin America to test the waters. VA wants to get into Boston - That is at the top of their expansion list, but I bet they would do ORH instead if "direct air" can return consistent numbers. Fingers Crossed....

Paul:

When you annoucement a new product with a 79 introductory price over the first 79 hours, this is not a soft opening.
