Unfortunately, he's already resorted to using an automated dialer to interrupt my dinner.

I'm not looking forward to ten months of this.

Baker does get credit for helping out Bill Weld (was it?) with Mass finances.

He also gets credit for turing around the finances of the hospital (or was it Harvard Pilgrim?) he works (worked?) for? However what isnt said is that he turned around that company with the help of Mass State dollars.

And was it yesterdays Herald that says he is in bed big time with the states health/medical industry.

I am kinda stuck,

a. Cahill is a possible good old Mass boy/pol,

b. Mihos cant run his conv. stores (or former stores) and he will not come clean re: the $600,000 suit broought agisnt him or Christie's Market by J P Noonan, the gas hualing tanker company,

c. Deval....well I wont go there except to say per todays T&G: "I am very, very proud of our performance in terms of getting the stimulus money spent"...HUH?? and now this farce of governor wants to buy a law school down in Mcgoverns south coast gerrymandered district.

JSF has it right re these robo election season telephonos calls.........next state wide binding ballot referendum s/b to outlaw political telemarketing calls here in Mass-Hole-A-Chusetts.

Paulie, who is Tisei's?

I went to Sam's Club today to pick up some extra cardboard boxes for my house. I need em with lastest cold blast to keep warm.

I Alos grabbed a pair of flannel lined dungarees. SAm's Club gal there sorting the clothes told me they are figuring about 2 years and until Sams Club is outta their present site.

Another discount retailer departs. It speaks volumes if we cant even keep the likes of discount retailers in Worcester, never mind not being able to keep $.99 hamburgers on Main St. Wimpy would be disappointed.

Jahn: Baker said yesterday that during the bankruptcy, there was oversight daily by Ruthardt(Ins Com) and Reilly (AG). There was talk of state money going in to Harvar Pilgrim, but in t he end, there was no public money put in and all the medical providers were paid what they were owed

Sam's Club is going to be in the same building as the new Walmart in Quinsig Village, no?

T Traveler, I did read in two diff. places that state money went into Harvard Pilgim......so I did place some faith that it did happen. One just never knows.

That being said, I dont think there's any disputing that Baker has huge ties to the medical industry based on who is contributing to his campaign.

Regardless, thanx for the update.

Should one be an auditor by profession before one can run for state auditor? DENUCHHHH is a CPA. Kind alike one s/b a lawyer before they can be assigned a judgeship? Putting legislators into CEO type positions is all too often a prescription for disaster. IMO, Time for carrot-tops political carreer to take along walk on a short pier.

Gabe, I think it was Bill who first posited that Sams was moving and rumor had it, that it was going to be to Millbury "area" ????

Anything is possble, but it seeems they built a huge new parking lot at teh new Walmart. Is it possible they will just rip it all up for a Sams Club? Ya, I think they probably would. I think there is also some empty space at the Blackstone Mall, but most Sam's that I can think of are stand alone operations???

Does anyone recall teh Sams club that was in Westboro at Rte 9 & Otis St opposite the Walmart. It didnt last too long there. The building then sat vacant for a few years and it's now a Target.

Oddly enough BJ Wholesale is a few hundred yards down the street ad has been there 15 or 20 years?

Nuttin' quite like visiting City Hall on a cold day in Febr. No Hobo's on the Common. Frankly, no one chillin' on the Common. I assume Steel benches are not to conducive to sleeping on this time of year.

I have been told that Walmart and Sam's are going to share that ginormous building. Wish I could remember from who, but I have been told that. This is believable being how huge that building is.

You know I drove by that new Sams site today and as I have in the past, I thought to myself that it seesm to be a large number of parking spaces for a retial outlet that size.

I kinda, sorta assume that req'd parking is based on the square footage of the retails outlet. Maybe what "Appears" to me to be excess parking in fact was planned as the add'l parking that a Sams would need?.

Speaking of which........restaurant req'd parking is (i think) based on # seats in a restaurant. I query once again.....where's ther req'd parking for the new Hand It Over Restaurant? Follow up question: Where's the New Hand It Over Restaurant? I hope they don't get 6.25%'ed to death. Second follow up qestion....where's the street excavation for the req'd larger lateral sewer connection to the restaurant? Bill check that parking lot behind the Hand It Over Theatre & see if there's any strange looking pipelines across it? Thanx
