Demoulas would put Big Y out of business....huge success in Somerville..very good at catering to immigrant population

Big Y never seems to be busy..

hERALD TODAY (3-4) reports THAT bj'S is looking for a new office site. Theye are currenlty in Natick and are looking at or have already decided on the old Mass Elec offices on Rte 9 in Westboro.

Article also mentions BJ's has plans to open add'l stores (12 I think it said?) in the area?

So...........dare i ask you if you're "selling" Worc would you be reaching out to BJ's........

a. The Chamber,
b. Worc marketing folks,
c. Econ dev'ment.....
d. Ms Jacobsen's office,
e. JOB, MOB,
f. other groups I cant recall
g. Duddie??
h. Barry?
i. current Sams site

Esp given that Sams Club will just about be a suburban location....so it is rumored. You telling me that Spag's mentality Worc'ites cannot support a wholesale club or are Price Rite markets Worc's new wholesale clubs?

Bill for some reason my brain associates Hannaford with Market Basket....which I know isnt correct... Both Mooooola's and Hannaford are from the areas North of Worc....that must be my confusion.

The herald also had a piece about a Back Bay hoarder who was given the hook from his home b/c his place is so overloaded "stuff".
Boston ISD placed X's on his pad which they say indicates danger to those who enter. My point being the "X" on a building isn't nec. indicative of a pending demolition.....altho now I am starting to wonder are there white X's and red X's which may each have diff. meanings?

Herald also had a piece about a guy being awarded $2.5M b/c in 2006a building collapsed on him. Yup back to teh salt shed on Clark St. If that place collapses and injures people ...that"s GROSS negligence for the city and there are no legislative limits for municipalities on tort awards when gross negligence is involved.

I wonder how many parties get sued if someone drives their accelerator impaired Toyota off the wall in front of Dunkin Donuts across Main St into the illegal sewer line at Main & May St's?
