JetBlue

Here's my next ORH prediction.  Within one year we will have JetBlue out of ORH.  Stories like this make more confident every day.    Personally I would love shuttle service to JFK, where you can then connect to anywhere direct around the country.    Maybe it will be a direct Florida flight.

Either way, we will have JetBlue service out of ORH.  Put it this way we have a much better chance of this happening then Pharmasphere ever being built in the South Worcester Industrial Park and creating even one job.

JetBlue service to ORH ...didn't I post something like this on your blog a couple of years back?!?!?!?

:-)

Didn't I also blog about Massport driving down the price of ORH to pick it up for a song, too?!?!?!?

;-)

I hate to be the one to say I told you so, but ...

This is how this blog started. Way back when a group of us somehow got together. Tim DeSantis, Tim MacDonald, Tom Moore, Rich Greenhalgh, Dave Stead and a few others urging the City of Worcester to agressively pursue JetBlue who was adding the Embraer 190 to their fleet.

This had to be going on 5, maybe 6 years ago. Tom Moore was even able to reach the JetBlue flight planner, who came to Worcester because of Tom's efforts.

I remember back when you had the sign on your building saying to bring in Jetblue. I also remember meeting with Tim Murray when he was mayor trying to see if we could bring in an airline. I think i can also remember you saying somthing on your blog about how if the Red Sox can win the World Series then ORH should be able to lure in JetBlue. So it had to be atleast 6+ years of following the airport.

...let's not forget all my behind the scenes lobbying with Southwest who couldn't even locate WOrcester on a map until I enlightened them...

bill, for what it's worth, the ORH parking lot is more than half full. far better than this time last year when flights to SFB & PGD were combined. this year there are 6 flights/week plus MYR.

Don't be surprised if you see Direct Air announcing San Juan, P.R. before anything else.
