I was e-mailed the following answer as to who the bidder was from our airport liaison:
"Sorry for the delay. Our system was down today and I was in Boston most of the day yesterday. We are not at liberty to disclose the name at this time because there is an internal process that must take place first. The evaluation of the response is being done by a team of people from the city and Massport."

If this was a city bid, I thought these bids were opened in a public forum and read aloud. Now it's a secret. Must be Massport bidding procedures are such, that they are not open in a public forum? Seems unusual.

You are absolutely correct. Right now the bid is most likely being reviewed and the bid does not have to be accepted. That does mean, however, that the name of bidder can not be released.
Thanks
Bill

I do not believe John Orrell handled this. If he had, believe I would have contact him.
Thanks
Bill
I just checked our purchasing agent's website, who does a fantastic job, and he most definatley did not handle this bid.
