JetBlue formally announces Providence

Don't get derpressed these rumors started long before the ORH rumors and they have become a reality.   Still believe we get on flight to Florida by the end of the year.

Could this be called a token flight?  Sure--so what?  Lets sell it out and jetBlue will bring more.

I doubt that JetBlue will add ORH, especially since they now serve PVD, BDL, and BOS. I think Massport needs to pursue flights to airline hubs, like Delta to Atlanta and maybe Detroit or United to Newark and maybe Chicago.

I think that the best bet for ORH is definetly Delta to Atlanta with the 717 (110 seats) which they'll aquire from Airtran beginning early 2013. 3x daily service would be great, departures to be 1 early AM, 1 afternoon, 1 night...

Shaun Sutner just wrote jetblue wont be landing in Worcester in the near future because they will be announcing Providence.

Hope he is wrong.

Whats the near future. The rumors about Providence have been circulating for a year and now they have JetBlue..

ORH has been what 3 months? Whether it is October/November Or December/January. I still believe JetBlue will be coming to ORH.

At the same time we need to keep pursuing Allegaint and any other airline.. Bottomline is I really don't know why anyone is upset by Providence???

We knew it was coming...
