Rosen nails it too

WorcesterMag

"Phil’s latest crusade is his most ridiculous one. His inept leadership in support of a ban on the sale of cigarettes at pharmacies and college campuses will not make anyone healthier. Smokers will still smoke because they will simply buy butts at supermarkets and convenience stores. But drugstores, which Phil sees as havens of health, will be allowed to sell candy, ice cream, pastries and potato chips. You just can’t make this stuff up.

The city council preaches that it is only trying to protect us from the dangers of life. But who will protect us from the city council? The biennial municipal elections certainly don’t."

Dare I speculate....Bill, Mr Rosen just stole one of your lines?

This is crazy and I said yesterday, Palmieri aLSO gave us the shopping cart ordinance b/c he lives near Lncoln Plaza and got tired of seeing abandoned shopping carts in his 'hood. This is typical of the politically correct, raterh than attackign the shopping cart thiefs they attack the shoppng cart owners.

This is like me buying a lottery tix and then tossing it on the ground nearby the store. Palmirie would come after the store owner vs the litterer. What's next...electronic boundaries for lottery tickets that have lost their virginity on the store premises?

Worse part is Nick says in todays T&G that this thing passed 9-2..........todays T&G alos says Germaine is thinking about playing musical chairs with Palmieri for his council seat....good lord........outta the frying pan and into the kettle.
