I'll go out on a limb here and predict tomorrows Sundae rag will have a Sean story dealing with an issue(s) discussed on this blog in the past.
Labor Day has come & gone and people are back to more closely watching current events and the Tuesday night gong show goes weekly again after a 2 month hiatus. God help us all. I need to know if come January I can skate behind city hall.
We got nuisance ords that the city itself is exempt from.
We got sidewalk snow shoveling ords which again, the city is exempt from and we got still Meadow Lane issues.
We got vendor pushcarts ords that have effectively banned pushcarts from downtown.
We got Mayor Barack and progessive foolishness.
We got former mayor Konnie and Mayor Barack feuding over illegals.
BUT ONE GOD DAM THING WE DO NOT HAVE IS REPRESENTATION ON BEACON HILL.
We are about to get 3 casinos in Mass., one in Boston area, one in western mass and another on the so called south coast ...that's the Fall River/New Bedford area for you folks who used to toss down a few at the Thirsty Scholar :).
Central Mass is about to be "Masspiked" AGAIN.... a.k.a. by passed. Someone please explain to me how the South Coast gets a casino but central mass does not, esp. , given the South Coasts proximity to Boston.
Now If I was king, casinos and state lotteries would all go the way of the terranasoarus rex. I have no use for them and they are IMO public nuisances.
But if Mass is going have casinos, shouldnt central mass get one? Where in Gods name are the Worc/central Mass state reps on this? Sleeping at St Johns?? Partaking of Beacon Hill toga parties? Vacationing in South Yarmouth? What is going on here? Maybe I am missing something?

I guess the failure of the Worcester Common Fashion Outlets is simply a case of being ahead of it's time. :)
