The San Bernardino City Council's decision to file for municipal bankruptcy came days after the city learned it had just $150,000 in its bank accounts, barely enough to make payroll June 15, city officials said.
Shortly before the council's vote Tuesday night, City Atty. James Penman warned the city would "shut down," including public safety agencies, if it didn't have enough money to pay its employees

Should Worcester city councilors be docked their pay to cover the citys legal and court costs if the so called Responsible "Er's Ordinance is ruled illegal and should CC Rushton be docked treble pay b/c he's a lawyer and shoud know better?
Worcester still has mobile food and drink vendors? Sorry, but I prefer hot dogs to German food. Must be fried dogs though....not boiled.
Cameras? For what purpose?.....a 2012 re-incarnation of Candid Camera? Color me curious re that request
Jean/Claude (Van Damme?!?!?): Sounds good...let's meet over some schnitzel this Saturday at Elm park to discuss. Haven't had any good German food since the Old Vienna Coffehouse in Westboro closed... another haunt that used to bring in local and national music acts, too. Saw Kris kristoferson play there back in the day...
