Right now it looks like there are some serious cuts being proposed, including a complete elimination of the Small Community Air Service Grant Program. This could possibly be the last year such funds are available to airports like ORH, I hope we apply????

The article also states that they are leaving the door open for user fees. This would mean any planes landing or taking off at ORH would be subject to an ATC fee (ORH has a control tower), while planes could continue landing in Spencer, Sterling, Fitchburg, Minuteman, Southbridge, Orange, Gardner, and NorthHampton without incurring a fee.

Not a big surprise here. If you read Airliners.NET you saw the end coming.
If we didn't get the SCASD in 2005, we must do all we can got 2006. I know here we can't go for Vacation Service. We need daily service so if this is our last year with SCASD, we can hit a homerun with daily service on United to Dulles or USAir to Philly.
