chris matthews is a disgrace to journalism
It's absolutely infuriating how little responsibility the likes of the Frank, Dodd and Schumer gang take for all of this and the absolute arrogance and vilification the left uses when you bring it up or question them. Joe the plumber was dead on.
I use to like Chris Matthews? Was it just me or did anyone else notice the sighs and grunts he made when Santelli talked.
Then to refer to his stance as being "scrooge-like"??? Responsible investing, reading legal documents are good business and should be a model??

I have hired alot of licensed plumbers that have people who work for him that do the work that are not licensed. The are called apprentices. After they have the stipulated hours under the licensed plumber then they take are test.
Technically during their apprenticeship they are not licensed and can not pull permits, etc. At the same time if you ever asked any of these apprentices what they did for a living, they would tell you that they are plumbers even though they are not licensed.

My point was Joe put the President on the spot with his income/wealth redistribution question and guess what, he was right. "UNLICENSED" is a little harsh don't you think? If we have to call illegal aliens, undocumented workers, I’d prefer you call Joe a pre-licensed plumber.
Sweating pipes together aint rocket science either and now they have plastic compression clamps/crimps so If one cannot sweat a pipe you can just clamp it together. You do have to rent teh clamping tool though or buy it. Most apprentices with 6 months on the job exp. could plumb a new house no problem, IMO.
Archie the plumber who died last fall was a smart guy who did plumbing all over the area.....esp. inner city Worc...........and the guy had no license......although he said he was at one time licensed in RI. The guy was always helpful with what i would call general constr. ideas, tips & pointers. My understanding is that certain repair work doesnt require a permit or a license??
He did have a "partner" who had a plumbing license. Archie had teh drivers license..his partner had no drivers license but had the plumbing license .perfect match up
The attack on Joe the Plumber was brutal and the arguement that he was not licensed and was behind on his taxes was lame.
Obama team could not attack what Joe, Rick Santelli or whoever said, since it makes sense. They need to attack the messenger.
So to Obama:
Is Tim Geithner licesnsed and is his tax situation as clean as the wind driven snow.
Many, many people have minor run- ins w/IRS.........no big deal.
Just like we all rack up a few speeding tix now and then.
Re: WPD paygate.........geeeesh mum is the word huh.......every stone they turn over creates more problems and more work........I cant wait to see how deep the tentacles go on this and they will "spin" it. Where I come from, anyone caught stealing even $500 via fraudulent time slips is fired on the spot.....
My point was "Joe" the plumber cant even legally own the business he claims he wanted to buy. As per his own state law.

I used to watch MSNBC and CNN. Now I can't stand those nutcases. God forbid anyone talk badly of something President Obama says.
