Today's E-mail Message

How do I buy tickets online for the flight from Worcester to Sanford? I keep coming up with cheap tickets etc. and no flights listed from our own Worc. airport. It is very frustrating. When are the politicians going to stop blocking the essential access road to the airport? I have lived here near the airport for 50 years. What a shame that the politicians can destroy what could be an incredible money maker for Worcester, instead of a dead airport....

Looking at my stats people are searching: Low cost airlines at Youngstown.... Youngstown cheap airline tickets....Youngstown to Orlando Florida....Youngstown airport fares.

It's sad people don't see the ad's to go to WWW.ALLEGIANTAIR.COM or even call the local airports for it!

Really sad is many people still have no clue how to use the internet, so this is why there is such tough luck for our airports to get well known when people don't even know how to use GOOGLE!

This would be the perfect opportunity to see exactly where we are spending our Small Community Air Service Grant Monies, if we had a copy of the most recent qtrly report filed with the DOT. Are we spending any of the monies advertising ORH flights on sites like Expedia and the like.

I have no idea

Few things at play here as I see it.

1. Any google search with the terms "fly" "worcester" "sanford" "allegiant" "orh" "fly worcester to orlando" etc. will turn up flyorh.com and allegiant's site. Easy. Shows up as a result and as an ad

2. One problem with some of those compilation sites is that a)certain ones are only for the "big" airlines, or airlines chosen by the site...hence southwest rarely shows up.

3. Another problem is that for sites such as kayak.com, sanford is separate than orlando in the listings.

4. The other problem is that because of the limited schedule Allegiant has, if you happen to search a nonvalid date on some travel sites, it'll show up as no flights available.

Allegiant is an airline based--for now--almost solely on business through their site, not through the expedias, travelocities, etc. of the world. The only time it would make sense to advertise ORH on one of those sites would be if it were targetted. That said, it probably does make sense to use targeted google adwords to increase the visisbility on certain sites.
