Now that Tom Kinton is officially the new CEO of MassPort, we need to meet with him and convince him how the purchase of ORH by MassPort makes the most sense for the future of both MassPort and ORH. The current ride to Boston is absoluteky terrible and people will soon depart from Providence, Hartford and Manchester, if they have not already. At the same time you can not blame MassPort for not diverting flights to ORH with the current operating agreement.
It will be interesting to see how many passengers Logan will lose to Manchester/Providence/Hartford. As the owners (whether an outright purchase or long term lease) MassPort would realize the benefits of investing in ORH and give their Boston passengers an alternative.
