The same steps that are being taken to address the accumulated snow days deficit, now at 7 days...apparently nothing at the moment??
The same steps that are being taken by the Super and her SC to address Gooddard-Gate alleged MACS test so called improper protocols.
BTW, I we have not heard from Tracey for a few days....which I hope means that she's rec'd the FOIA request re: Googgard-gate and she's burning the midlight candle reading & absorbing all the documents, data, & info.
You go Girl !!!!!
Bill, I have to also wonder if the current school year (2011) is running in the black or the red and also what about next years and this years city-side budget? If the schools are in hot water it may not be that much of stretch to think cityside may be upside down too?
But ya know, I suspect that Obama will get extra money to his fellow alumni Deval, so Mass. maybe be able to kick the can down the road 2 more years? 2 more years of kicking the can may get us out to Cheesehead Country.
looks like schools will have $500 thousand surplus plus "edu jobs" money. also principals are encourages to "pre-purchase" school supplies, 10 dollaes per pupil is allocated
I'd be interested to know how they define supplies.
Will they be pre paying for multiple ply Kleenex Tissues for the group of 4 SC memebers & Ms Boone, the next time Gooddard gate comes before our applauding, glad handing, back slapping, & back stabbing school committee of 4.
I May need an oxygen tank and a specialty inhaler next time the SC takes up Gooddard Gate. I'll be laughing so hard I may need the above breathing apparatus and God forbid if I have to call 911 for a 22 ton ambulance if I am completely over come with laughing hysteria.
Talk abuout a prima facia case for private education vs. public education.
Jahn, I did just get the DESE stuff, 'though I've been offline because my husband and I went away for our anniversary. This year is balanced (if this stuff interests you, everytime there's a Finance and Operations meeting, there's a quarterly report showing where we're at). T's got the start there--we've been saving as much of the federal money as we can manage for next year. Getting the contract (with health insurance changed) settled would be a huge chunk of the hole. Then we start getting into individual jobs and line items. I also saw that there was a mention of "consolidation" at last Thursday's presentation, so I assume we'll be hearing more about that. I'd say that no one is expecting anything from Congress, as they still have yet to pass anything for FY11, never mind FY12!
