Today's 1/28/09 T&G had a good article about the airport expanding it's corporate and general aviation and cargo. Talk about MassPort building another terminal for private flights and maybe even cargo.

I would disagree with some of the comments made in the comment section. The airport website lists two flight schools currently at the airport as well as a fuel station and airplane electronic store. Also cargo would be a big plus for the taxpayers and not a detraction

Gee I wonder who this anonymous comment is from??

If you believe in the airport, like many of us do why do you remian anonymous?

Herein lies one of the problems with ORH

What’s even more ridiculous than prisons with flat screen TV’s is the fact that some of the commenter’s on this article believe the money is actually the prisoners. The prison purchases items to be sold in the canteen with taxpayer’s monies, the prisoners buy those items, so help me understand how this canteen money is still the prisoners. So if we follow that logic when I buy my toilet paper at CVS, the money in the register is still my money. Maybe this explains why they are in prison in the first place.

I am not justifying this baloney but....... Hey what's $77,000 for TV's that will actually be used daily.......compared to Guy Glodis's $300,000 tactical swatmobile that sits at the jail like a rusting hulk.....waiting to be mobilized the next time a career stoner walks away from highway trash detail.

Dismas House was cut almost the exact same amount from DOC budget.

So Dismas's funding was flat ...huh.... Time to raise the ex cons rent or move them out to Westboro and away from the bad influences of Main South.

thanks for the advice jahn, we are opening a new program outside MS already! no rent increases though. just trying to point out that the TV funds could have gone to rehab instead...our guys at the house in MS are doing swimmingly right now. True recovery from drugs is not about geography.

Dave what about your guy Guy Glodis and that $300,000 swat- mobile that he has rusting up there that was never even needed in teh 1st place. Guy buys it just to get a chance to increase his public exposure, yet the state police have all the swat-mobiles any of us could ever need. The thing goes out 2-3x a year for parades.....almost kind alike our firemen !!!!!

Dittos for his tracking dawgs and horsies. What's he think is ...some kinda Deputy Dawg cowboy??

Think what that $300,000 could do for your program....like move it to Westboro !!!!!

Let me guess......the program is being expanded out of MS to Guy's West Boylston campus and guy will charge you $10 per year for rent. I tell you gub'mint funded non profits are the most rapidly expanding business in Massachusetts. Truly kinda sad.

Guy even spent all kinds of money last summer to re-pave the road to the Parthenon on Hill at West Boylston. Too bad it will be all busted up again in no time b/c they didnt put in adequate drainage. I love to ride my Harley up over that road now.....I lean it as far as I cant into those curves until sparks fly off the footpegs...just like Easy Rider...circa 1969

Is $42,000 annually still the highest paid person at Dismas??? I got to git me hands on those Dismas W-2's one of these days.

Not trying to pick on you Dave, it isnt about you personally...it's more about non profits......but Jahn is tired of non profits milking Worc, my state tax dollars, & my fed'l tax dollars.
