Truly a great day in Worcester ... even 4 WOrcester politicians showed up( hey, I worked the door) and 1 called in to wish us well...close to 1000 people coming out on a huge vacation week in the middle of the city and they all danced the night away...

Great job to all!

The talk was talked and the walk was walked... win , win for everyone ... the city , the Chandler Street area, Worcester businesses, Massachusetts businesses, Worcester law enforcement (LoJack equipment donation), the Worcester night lifescene , etc, etc, etc...

It was great witnessing the tide turning...

Wish I could have been there, but came up from PGD on Direct today. Plane was nearly full and by the way flight attendant said that schedule will be expanded in Nov back to what it was when it started last nov.

that was Councilor Rushton who called in to wish us well...and it was very nice to see the Mayor and her husband bring their chairs and join us for some time as well as Councilor Rosen and Haller....even Economic Development Czar Tim McGourthy joined us...that was pretty cool event yesterday if I say so myself:>)Lots of great team work from a lot of great folks.

The best of the day was being asked if we would put on another festival for another organization in the same lot...that folks is changing folks opinion of an area of the city that needs change....

Paulie, congratulations on a job well done. You're putting the Village on the map in a good way. Kudos to councilors for showing up.

Query...were any of the CDC chieftans there???? i.e. those who are so concerend about the Hood and the quality of life in The Piedmont Village. E.g. South Worc Neighborhood Center, Worc Common Ground, Main South CDC, Matthew 25, and others.

Hey Deval says on the front page of todays Herald (7-13) that no animals will be euthanized if the Stoneham and/or Bostons Franklin Park Zoo are closed. Gee...I guess my promised local property tax cut was euthanized.............HUH....???.........this guy is in so far over his head it's pitiable............I cant wait for both he & Murray to be booted

From the reviews I've heard of this event, it sounds like it was a resounding success.

Congratulations to all the silly bloggers who pulled this one off.

Senor Jahn...not one CDC that I am aware of...no one from the Neighborhod Network Center on Pleasant Street either and I ALWAYS send a small check when they request one:>)

You are either on the team or you are not..no in between Senor Jahn:>)The only difference of opinion allowed between Pleasant & Main for many is is weather you like your coffee black or milky as the Irish like to say:>)

It doesn't mattah..it was a grerat day..many from the hood..many from around the city, many from various Central Mass towns, many from around the state and quite a few from other states....and the biggest thing of all is everyone paid..we did not have to give away the ship to attract folks...event just about broke even (I am very pleased with this) and we raised a ton of dough for a very worthwhile cause...it don't get any bettah than this Senor Jahn.....even grabbed a few numbers from a few hot chicks who dig oversized event directors with some personality:>)...I got the oversized down pat..now I have to just get a personality:>)

I was very pleased with the showing of CC Rosen, Haller and Mayor Lukes..CC hopeful Grace Ross was in for awhile-I like Grace..Economic Czar Tim McGourthy was in and Grand Mastah Bloggah BuckPaxton made it to..CC Rushton called in twice..day before and morning of to wish us well.

Very disappointed CC Twoomey did not show or wish us luck..CC Twoomey talks alot about funk..in certain ways maybe not using this word...but I am not sure she walks the walk..Saturday's event was quite an unusual one for this city and it drew and it paid for itself...something for this part of the city to grow on and show others that funky stuff can happen in the city and be profitable also..."profitable" is not a dirty word..folks from the festival went out and supported area restaurants and pubs before and afterwards, bought gas, bought bottled water-my tenants store had walk-ins he normally does not have...walked the neighborhood-a neighborhood they normally would not walk.

It was a very positive day and I am estatic at how well it went..lastly, I do not work well with others..I dig being the boss but I really enjoyed working with Bill Randell, Marty & Pete Foley of the Galway Bay and Gina & Harry Tembenis both are just two great folks!

Then I go to teh RMV this morning and take a seat and there staring at me are mugs of Deval & Tim hanging on the wall smiling as I wait 55 mins to do my RMV bizz.........

Memo to Devals re-election crew.....it aint exactly a good idea to have your mugs on teh RMV wall given that the average wait time is somewhere around an hour. It only serves to remind the Mass voters & registry "waitees" how inefficient anything is that is run by the Commonwealth of Mass.

Now that I got my motorcycle registered I am going to go out and violate the citys nuisance ordinace to my hearts content...........starting with loud exhausts and burning rubber in front of 224 Chandler St at about 10:00am some monring when Paulies neighbors are still sleeping off the prior nights hangover......Then over to the Park Ave Fire station for some more noise at about 300am..........payback for those Jake Braking Jakes.............you dont need a Jake Brake at 200 am in my hood when you're only going 15 MPH....

Why thank the city, you paid for it right?
So what did you pocket?

Nobody pocketed any money. All the proceeds go to the National Association for Autism. Trust me we will be making an annoucement shortly what our final contribution will be.

Yes, we need to thank the City of Worcester granting us a one day license.

Thanks

You need to check their website to see how long the wait is.

I went there with my son last week to get him a Massachusetts ID card. They gave me a number, and said I need to sign the application. I was still signing my name when they called my number. I was in and out in less than five minutes.
