It's Ok we'll get us another park that we dont need down along N Lake Avenue.

I have traversed that area 2-3 times since they blocked off one lane. I am not a civil engineer, but for the life of me, if one lane (nearest the lake) is in allegedly in jeopardy and is or could be compromised, does it not also make sense that the lane adjacent to it could also be unstable...especially this time of year when the ground is laden with water as the frost comes out.

Additionally, I did notice that very steep wooden stairway(s) running from the street level to the lake level are still accessible by who ever is allowed to use them or whoever owns them. If the enbankmetn in that area is unstable, does it not seem to follow that the stairsways resting on the embankment would also be unstable and s/b closed off?

Something is "up" down there e and for the life me, I'd like to know the real story of what's going on there. My bestest guess is that UMass is the trigger mechanism for whatever the future holds at that site. I also conjecture some land/house takings by eminent domain. ONly time will tell.
