I just drove by the Wayfarer marker that is in front of the Hanover Theatre. Honestly I am trying not to be negative, but does anyone understand this Wayfarer deal???
Actually I just found a website that explains the program and it is called the "Worcester Way". Read some of it and I am completely baffled
This is hilarious, check out the presentation on-line. Can anyone explain to me the Main South logo??

It’s been nearly a year since I wrote about the problems that come from
having 11 bosses who are not on the same page about anything, as well as
suggestion...

I think they look nice but we will have to see if they direct people easier than the signs we have now. Didn't see an airport sign?? Maybe I missed it.
Does anybody know about our aggreement with Massport, will it be extended?
Does anyone find it interesting that this Wayfarer program seems to revolve around so called cultural institutions......translation: non-profits?
I am not sure who is paying for this? Someone please enlighten me? Surely the city isnt paying for this.........the same city council that says non profits aint paying their way....their fare share?
I have never even heard of this program, but than again I am not too into the arts & cultural scene in Worcester. Maybe I should lose the tats, beard, shaved head, leather vest, Harley, and become a Prius Wayfarer type?
Imagine if I owned a large for profit business in Worc and I asked for special signage to my locale. The bill would be sent to committee where it would die.
Is there a Wayfarer marker at Main & Carleton St a.k.a 771 Main St...they are a non profit...right??
Tim:
I agree the markers themselves do not look bad, but I simply do not seeing them helping anyone get around the City of Worcester.

Re the Main south logo on the Worcester wayfarer site......is that RRobert goddard's rocket blasting off from High atop Pakachoag Hill in Auburn (almost in Worc??)......guess ya gotta drive up college hill & by Holy cross to even get there.....nice to see the influence of the Jesuits on Worc Wayfarer Plan/Site. Was Goddard a MS resident back in the day?
Kinda cute isnt it that they have a shot of Fairway Beef on Temple St on teh website.
So whats the South Worc logo supposedd to be? Churches ,factories & 3 deckers?? Am I interpreting it correctly?
