Alot of comments on this one.
First , I am not saying that this property is not a nuisance and that the City of Worcester should enforce any and all code ordinances.
Second, it appears to me that the owner of this property should maybe be given 90 days, or something like that, to straighten out these problems before be give a "death sentence". Revoking their lodging license is just that.
Lastly, I only wish that the property owners were held to the same standard.

To steal Bill's phrase, is it just me or does anyone else notice the timing of this proposed revocation.
It would seem some former PIP people as well others afflicted with similar behaviors room at these lodging houses. The city would never do this in the middle of January b/c they know many of these tenants would be forced to the streets and would then be found frozen to death in a snowbank.
No worry about that for the next 5 or 6 months.......thus the citys timing????????
Whats next if it isnt here already...3 deckers loaded with 25 matresses per apt where one can rent a mattress for $8.00 a night. If ya can believe what you hear on the radio it happens alot in Lawrence.
