A guy was just on WTAG and mentioned that one of the hangers, not sure which one, is a mess and no work has been done. More or less the caller said the building shold be condemned. Can anyone tell me more about which hanger he referred to and is that bad??

Anyone see the new city nuisance ordinace re: buildings, standing water, and host of other minicipal maladies that will now be legislated to be nuisnaces.
I wonder, if like the zoning ordinance, the city is exempt from this law that they are about to pass. I sure hope for their sake.....that they are.
I can think of lotsa city properties that will not past muster under thsi new ordinance. Are these councillors shooting themselves in the foot here?
The ordinance mentions the creation of "standing water" as a possible nuisance. Ever see some of the newly paved streets that have 50 ft puddles in front of catch basins......that stay standing for days on end...sometimes longer depending on how much rain we get. CAn you say Misquito breeding haven. Who the hell inspected and signed off on this shoddy workmanship?
How about private streets (dirt roads) that are sometimes only passable in a Caterpillar D-9 Bulldozer?? ..............suppose the abutters (who are responsible for the upkeep of the private street that they abut) to these private streets will be called on the carpet every March when these street turn into miniature ponds?
BTW is the control tower up there still boarded up too?
Doherty H.S roof still leaking?
Ditto for North H.S.
Take a look at the report on the old Fire Alarm Station building opposite Elm PARK
Salt storage sheds on East Worc St imploding?
Green hill Clubhouse all peeling paint?
Anyone driven up Highland St lately and taken a glance at the Auditorium......peeling paint... .peeling concrete...broken windows........smashed sash.....leaking roof
HOW ABOUT A GOD DAM ORDINANCE THAT SETS PARAMETERS FOR ASPHALT & CONCRETE SURFACE CONDITIONS CONDITIONS FOR STREET & SIDEWALKS
Christ.... all the councillors moan about street /sidewalk conditions.....yet there are no standards or parameters for conditions of these street & sidewalks.........
Too dam busy worrying about Darfur, Iraq, Shopping cart ordinances, and their own pay raises !!!!!!
Jahn is normally not this bad.............problem is he just had to part with some money on Nov 1st.........therefore his BP is up a bit ............and Jahn feeels that the city could be run for much less money ....but it will never happen as long as city employees can vote themselves money indirectly via the municipal election process.
Sounds like there is a preventative maintenance problem. Reminds me of the old transmission commercial that used to be on tv "you can pay me now or you can pay me later"

It is the Amity building. They have to out sometime in November.
Hope Amity's relocation on the field doesn't take too long while their facility is being repaired
They should go to Fitchburg. Mark likes it up there.
I heard Harry Tempenis used to go out with Ben Dover
