Nick K & Dianne Williamson

Just read both of their stories in the Telegram, pretty depressing but accurate. Maybe at the next City Council meeting we can find out a couple answers about the airport:
  1. Assuming we do not get the airline that we are talking with, how much would we save if we downgraded to General Aviation?
  2. Did we get another one year extension that is expiring this September to spend the remaining $300,000 of grant monies from the DOT to attract and retain commercial service?
  3. Why can't we put together an RFP to outright sell or long term lease the airport?
  4. What did Avports have to say after receiving the information from the City of Worcester?

I am sure, however, none of this will come up.

Agreed. The 90 minute vendor discussion would have been better spent discussing the 20 year Airport Master Plan and how additional monies are needed to upgrade/replace the fuel depot, maintenance building, hangars, main terminal etc etc etc.

Guess we'll have to wait another 3 weeks until the next meeting.

It was good to see on the City Council Meeting Agenda that they are requesting an alternate plan if MassPort does not takeover the airport by January 2009

Did ya catch Nemeth's 'rah-rah-WPD' article.

"Perceived reluctance to provide internal affairs records ..."

I think this guy ss completely out of touch.

An alternative plan? Put the entire airport out for long-term lease or sale? That is the alternative plan.

It is called the marktetplace. Lets see what it says.
