Two new reports--both excellent. Will anyone listen? One of the airport and the other on Worcester finances. Even recommend privatization of janitorial services!! That should make Jahn happy.

Not to be redundant, but that begs teh question why are none of their recommendations ever acted on?
privatize custodial serices what agreat way to plug a $2M hole in next years budget.
I'll tell you what I am waiting for........when MOB tells all the municiapl unions during contract negoitatiosn........no raises going forward for the time being.
I was talkign to a guy the other day who told me his faterh was a Worc school teacher and in 1931 (depreson era) he and all the other teachers took a pay cut from $1300 to $900 .annually..........that's about 30%
Would be nice if the 1931 T&G was on line, I could probably find that story.
Speaking of the T&G, it could be perceived from todays rag that Worc will getting $14m in cash for that sale of the airport. MMMMMMM..not quite IMO. We need to see that "HUD" settelment statement re sale of airport
BTW, I failed to mention that i am reasonaly certain WMRB has advocated privatized janitorial. services in the past.
Deja vu?
Joe O'B is the chairman of the school committee.......right???
I can just see it now instead of basketballs & hockey sticks being bandied about city halls corridors & chambers there would be brooms & mops with signs reading..."Let's Clean House"
The upper council chambers would mobbed with barristers who work the municipal disablity circuit [g]
