Allegiant Jet

Today I was driving down Park Ave at 10:00AM and saw the Allegiant jet driving over. If you have never seen the Jet coming in, it is pretty impressive.

Hopefully soon, there will be alot more jets flying overhead into Worcester. I used to fly out of Worcester all the time during the late 1980's. On any given Sat. or Sun., jet after jet would land and depart from there. What happened? What was it that worked then that won't work now? The airport itself has improved tremendously since those 80's days, with the new terminal and jetways. Anyone who has ever flown anywhere knows what a pain in the ass it is to drive to Logan and negotiate that overcrowded airport. Plus, I don't want that extra hour (or more) drive home from Logan, Green, Bradley or Manchester after returning from a trip. Worcester is convenient, I can just drive up the hill, park my car and walk into the terminal, done! No trying to find which terminal to go to, find parking, and wait 2 hours to check in and practically miss my flight. Plus ORH is safe, I've never seen so much security at any airport. I wouldn't hesitate about leaving my car there. I am a big fan of Worcester, like I said, through the 1980's, I never flew out of another New England Airport other than Worcester. What is it that worked then, that's not working now?

I saw it coming in today and agree it is nice to see it circling the city for a landing. Hopefully we can get some more regular service soon. Although Allegiants flights are great I would like to have Delta, United or any of the major airlines flying 2-3 daily flights per day out of ORH.

I saw it too, from the hill on Heard Street while I was running errands, to quote the famous Eric Theodore Cartman from South Park cartoon fame .... "KEWL" !!!!

I saw Allegiant flying right over downtown yesterday. Quite a site. I drove up to Worcester Airport yesterday as well, and was amazed on how many people were in the terminal. The parking lot had many cars.

Seeing a cop controlling traffic in front of the terminal was different. It was actually nice to sit and watch the airplane take off amongst a few other people in the other parking lot as well. Definitely reminded me of the 80's. :D
