Is this is list is supposed to be in comparison to the list of 75 new business which apparently opened in worcester last year? If so, your not really comparing apples to apples as the new business opened in 2008 and some of the businesses on your list left Worcester before 2008.

This has been an ongoing list that I really do not know exactly when I started it. It was not meant as a direct comparison.

I received an e-mail, maybe triggered by my mention of the 75 new business started in 2008, about my list.

Anonymous must suck not being able to use your own name.

In fairness, if we know of a closed business that was replaced by a new one.....esp. in retail locations.........should it be mentioned

E.g. Wendys on Grafton is now a D'angelos (last I knew)

Figures that Harry would know pizza place that went outta bizz....... [g].....betcha Pualie could name all pouring establishments that closed up esp those that served a perfectly poured glass o' Guinness [g]

Some of this is ridiculous, I know. But if you look at the list in its entirety, there are alot of jobs lost and not replaced.

I am thinking here .......we need to have a list of all the sites of the smaller lesser known non profits......esp. all the SS agencies??? ....and their residentail locations which are often only known to those who live the in the immediate 'hood........

E.g. Dismas Richard st (?)

Genesis Lincoln St

Comm. Health Link Chandler st (?)

PIP 711 main(?)

JUne St wet shelter SMOC

should SMOC be renamed the Central Mass Opportunity coucil???...........btw what opportunities do they represent......other than the opportunity to apply for a tax rebate if ya life near by?......or the opportuinty to keep you small kids locked in teh hosue all summer long?

This SMOC is Huge busines IMO and Southern Middlesx is hardly anywhere near Worc either.

Maybe the assessor cant print one out easily of all teh non profits...i bet it will be a real eye opener........
