I have not been to a Chamber event in???? Man, I have no idea how long it has been...
Do't feel that they have been effecitve at all representing the businesses in this city for some time.

It was a little Chamber thingie - with the city biz group leaders. I think they timed it w/ your on air appearance so no one from the Chandler BA could be there LOL.
It seemed like they were trying to get all the biz orgs to speak with one voice. There will be another mtg. April 27th, noon.
I got soemthing on it Bill..told em' we could not make because of the radio gig today:>) we got more done today:>)

Now I knew a few cops named Rooney, but that's it

first time ever meeting Callie...she is originally from Memphis, Tennessee but now lives in Cambridge down by Fresh Pond....I think your Neanderthal description may be why we are close to losing Worcester's urban core Senor Pedro Jahn....you got to open up yer eyes, heart and pocketbook to new ideas and people:>)
the WGBH fan base is generally a educated, well off base...not bad that we can get word out to these peeps...employers...peep with money looking to invest....

As to opening things up like pocketbooks & eyes & heart.....
I did open up my pocketbook last week end......up in Cow Hampshire....saved me almost $100.........ask me if I feel guilty......RIGHT !!!!!!........as I said previously........ I look at it as the property cut that Deval and Timmy never made good on.
Just an hour ago i had a real eye opener expericning..it is still lightly snowing and 2 boys walk by with what I would describe as Capri pants style pajama bottoms on....no socks.
As to opening my heart..........well some would say I am heartless b/c I expect people on a payroll to actually do work
it's okay when a guy like Phil Stone who is on the Worcester Common Ground Board of Directors lives in Princeton, MA contributing to the gentrification of rural Princeton...our Mayor Obie vacations at his home in Richmond, MA with the Gubinor gentrifying rural Massachusetts or City Councilor Haller vacationing in Vermont at her mansion gentrifying Vermont but when we wanna clean up Worcester's urban core....the flags go up...the names start being called....the rehabbers and job creators just wanna crush poor immigrants and Americanos
Re: Mayor Joe Obrien, I told you guys what IMO Joe was all about back in the fall of 2009 when he was running for mayor.

I was truly surprised at you folks b/c I consider you more politically savvy than me.
I thought Joe Brien was an easy read.....right outta the Mc Govern camp.......that's all one needs to know.........and Ill also tell youse guys that breaking bread with Mc Govern is well futile...........I'd never invite the enemy into my camp. The man is an insanely liberal pinko commie.
