What is Worcester waiting for??? Get another airline that flies to more places like NYC, Vegas, Chicago and Atlanta... Investing in Florida flights only won't take the airport anywhere!!!

You'd think there would AT LEAST be a market for shuttle flights from ORH to Logan, ORH to Manchester, ORH to Providence, and/or ORH to Hartford... but apparently there isn't.

For the life of me I don't understand how we can not lure Cape Air to fly shuttles to Boston.

With their code sharing arrangement with JetBlue it would be ideal. They are doing it in P-Town, Hyannis, Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket?

Love to know what the Cape Air conversations were about.

I would caution against adding a second airline that might fly to some of the same destinations that Direct Air is flying (Orlando). The JetAmerica business model is just as unstable as SkyBus. We would be cutting into existing DirectAir business.

DirectAir is at least profitable "some months" at ORH according to their CEO.

We don't need to get on the way of Direct Air to add another airline to ORH, all we need are airlines that could give us more choices.
Worcester airport would attract people if we could fly to a HUB city where you could connect to fly anywhere. I can't believe Worcester can't attract any more airlines like:

Southwest
JetBlue
Airtran
US Airways
Delta
Allegiant
USA3000
Apple Vacations
Cape Air
JetAmerica

Cape Air one is the one the amazes me.

They fly into Logan all the time with the code sharing agreement with JetBlue. How hard can it be for MassPort to get them to fly out of Worcester?

Bill,

Isn't Cape Air getting subsidized to fly in/out of most of the airports they serve?

Dave Z;

I know what you are referring to, isn't called essentail service or something like that? Yes, they do that in some instances.

Their code sharing arrangement with JetBlue that filters people through Boston from Hyannis, ptown, Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket are market driven.

Go on Jet Blue and you can get a ticket out of Hyannis anywhere around the country.
